Bio
Ojuang Mayenga is a 29-year-old visual artist born in Tanzania and raised in New Jersey. The art streets of Jersey and NYC helped to shape his artistry, as he was still finding his voice. It wasn't until relocating to Oregon and marrying the love of his life, did a new, fiery purpose arose from within him. The potential of having a successful art career and family life is what gets him up from bed excited, to make the most out of the day, and make it artsy.
Ojuang's recent works connect the world of nature and technology to express his thoughts and feelings about current hysterical times. He aims to create cool surreal pieces for current and future audiences and inspire those who walk a similar path as him as an African artist.
Currently Ojuang works with acrylic paint, color and regular pencils and ink. Working on 11"x14" paper has been beneficial for him as he utilizes quality and quantity to create fantastical pieces of art works. Ojuang also interacts regularly on social media via content creation, showcasing behind the scenes of his paintings and developing short story videos for his friends and followers.
